This is one of my new favorite art jewelry pieces not only because it's beautiful but it's also versatile. When I carved this double sided piece out of wax I wanted to created something that the finishing details (back) were just as important as the front. I learned this attention to detail when I was 9 years old when my grandmother was teaching me embroidery. My grandmother would always check the back of the embroidery work to see if it was neat and clean. It wasn't until I was finishing this piece I realized how my early embroidery lesson relates to the attention to detail when it comes to working in wax. Thank you Grandma!
